NASA research has shown that light therapy, also called L.E.D. photon therapy, decreases wound healing time. It is believed to increase the overall energy available to the cells, which stimulates fibroblasts to make collagen, the protein that makes connective tissue. It is used to treat injuries, reduce pain and inflammation and to reinforce the energy generated during acupuncture.
