Therapies: Spinal Manipulation |
The cornerstone of basic naturopathic treatment is manipulation of the spinal vertebrae. Manipulation of the spine is not new. Hippocrates left detailed instructions for spinal traction and manipulation.

Naturopaths use a method of manipulation which is a combination of Osteopathic and Chiropractic manipulation. It is now generally accepted by all three branches of the healing arts that spinal lesions, or subluxation cause changes in both blood and nerve supply. |

The proper alignment of the spine insures correct transmision of nerve impulses to their proper organs. Stress and tension can cause compression of the nerves and arteries, which can lead to inflammatory changes which can complicate the problem further. |
