Therapies: Cranial Manipulation

The old conception of the skull as one immovable bone no longer holds in modern science. It is now accepted as a fact that the plates of the skull actually expand and contract rhythmically eight times per minute. When the sutures become fixed, it can result in neurological or physical malfunctioning, while also inhibiting proper circulation of oxygen and cerebrospinal fluids around the brain. Cranial manipulation is the application of the correct amount of pressure to the plates, thus promoting proper motion along the sutures. This increases the flow of oxygen and cerebrospinal fluid, and enhances neurological functioning.
