At the D'Adamo Institute, we recognize that there is no single route to good health. Just as no two persons' fingerprints are the same, no two bodies are alike, no irises are alike, no two finger or ear prints are alike. When I talk about finger prints everyone seems to acknowledge that but, what I am really saying is that when the first person appeared on this earth and millenniums later after you're gone no one will have your finger prints.

We seek to understand the unique characteristics of each person's body ascertaining the particular strengths and needs. With this knowledge, we determine the necessary requirements and recommend a variety of ways to achieve and maintain good health. Our approach is through naturopathic medicine. We treat people, not diseases. If there is illness, it is created by an imbalance in the body and is never isolated to a single part or system. We believe that the functions of the body and mind must be considered together. A positive, hopeful state of mind enhances every facet of physical healing. In truth, we do not heal. The body heals itself. Our role is to stimulate the body's natural recuperative abilities and to show you how to remove obstacles to the healing process. At all times, you maintain ultimate control of your body's health.

UNDERSTANDING THE UNIQUE NEEDS OF YOUR BODY

The Institute brings an innovative approach to naturopathic healing. Through 50 years of scientific research, James L. D’Adamo has defined the relationship between a person’s blood type and that individual’s unique nutritional needs and general lifestyle requirements. To obtain a complete picture of a person’s health, naturopaths at The Institute utilize various diagnostic techniques, including blood type analysis, iridology, pulse analysis, muscle assessment and stress assessment. After determining the individual’s specific needs, the naturopath outlines a detailed diet, a program of specially formulated vitamins and supplements, as well as a regime of therapies, possibly including colon irrigation, foot baths, clay packs, massage, manipulations, acupuncture, etc.

In order to achieve health, you must take responsibility for it. Once that is realized and you work towards it, very often at the beginning of the program you will feel worse before you feel better because you are reconstructing your entire body. This often confuses most people because they look for instantaneous health. The fact is, it took you years to feel this way, and it will take time to get better.
